Philanthropic dollars allow us to continue to discover and share the best practices in dementia care so students in the health professions enter their fields well-equipped to provide dignified, skilled care to aging patients.

Most importantly, your dollars provide much-needed financial assistance to families who can no longer afford to keep their loved ones at the facility that has become their home. The foundation, in fact, provides charitable assistance that pays for over 50 percent of the cost of care for about 15 percent of all clients.

To support the work of the Center, call Cathy Neese Brown, our Director of Development, today at

Celebrating a Life & Honoring a Loved One

Family members often ask us what they can do to celebrate the life of a loved one who is now diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

By giving a memorial or honorarium gift, you can honor a person’s life and accomplishments. Funds received support patient care, as well as education and outreach for families, caregivers, and medical professionals. For details, please call Cathy Neece Brown, our Director of Development, at 817-877-1199, ext. 140.

Planned Giving

We would be pleased to work with you to arrange for a planned gift that benefits you and the Center. Planned giving (sometimes referred to as "gift planning") allows philanthropic individuals and donors to make larger gifts than they could make from their income. Under federal tax incentives, some planned gifts will not only provide long-term support for James L. West but can also return an immediate tax deduction and lifetime income for the donor and a loved one.

Embracing our Presbyterian roots, James L. West is pleased to partner with the Texas Presbyterian Foundation to implement various planned-giving tools, including charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts, and more.

For additional information on the Texas Presbyterian Foundation and these tools, visit www.tpfgift.org or call Cathy Neece Brown, our Director of Development, at 817-877-1199, ext. 140.
